From your initial interest, opening the doors of your practice and into your first year, we’re here to ensure you make the right decisions for you.
The best way to discover all your options is to begin with an informal chat or meeting with one of our team. You can tell us exactly what you are looking for from your career and how it fits in with your personal life too. We can then discuss all the choices that are available to you.
The success of Companion Care Vets is all down to teamwork. If you wanted to become a partner we’d invite you to spend a day with us at our HQ near Oxford where you (and anyone else you’d like to bring with you) can meet many of the key people who’d be supporting you. We’ll review the opportunities in locations of interest to you but there’s no commitment to proceed at this stage. Overall it’s a great opportunity to really understand the support you would get in your new business.
Once you’ve decided that you would like to have your own surgery and become a partner, we then need to agree the specific details of exactly where you want to be and whether that is inside a Pets at Home store, or in a standalone location.
You’re nearly there… signing day is a great chance to meet up again with the people who will be working to support your new business. As well as signing the contracts you’ll also spend time with the marketing, human resources and operations teams to agree the plans for your launch marketing, team recruitment and equipment purchases.
The big day has arrived! The opening day is a great occasion, which all culminates in a local celebrity coming in to carry out a ribbon cutting ceremony with you. There’s a photographer and a number of people from the support office there to celebrate the moment with you and your team. Soon after the ribbon is cut, the first clients begin to arrive for the appointments that are pre-booked ahead of the opening day.
Time flies and before you know it you’ll be at the end of the first year as a Companion Care Vet. By then you’ll have a rapidly growing client base and a busy new business. Not to mention a lot of happy pets! You’ll be able to look back at the year that has gone by and be very proud of what you and your team have achieved.
